Tune in Sunday night to KNUS AM 710 from 5 to 8 pm for Backbone Radio. Matt Dunn and Krista Kafer will hit the airwaves with fresh commentary on all things political and cultural.
Newsweek started the week by making some news. Its cover story, by Professor Niall Ferguson of Harvard, was titled: “Hit the Road Barack: Why We Need a New President.” Ouch! Imagine that — Newsweek finally making itself useful, after all these years.
Though the hard-hitting essay was music to our ears, it didn’t go over so well with the left-wing blognoscenti. An appalled Paul Krugman quickly called it “unethical commentary.” And it didn’t take long for Berkeley’s Brad DeLong to call Ferguson “a sad, strange, deluded little man” while demanding his immediate firing from Harvard. Wow, great stuff! So who is right? We’ll discuss the Ferguson article, in all its glory, alongside the hyperventilations and tergiversations of its liberal critics.
We’ll also have two terrific guests—former Congressman Bob Beauprez will give us the inside scoop on the Republican National Convention live from Tampa. Hurricane threats can’t dampen the air of celebration. The “comeback team” of Romney-Ryan has now taken the lead in some national polls.
And now for something completely different—master beekeeper Tim Brod will tell us all about bees. It’s honey harvest time and the Denver Post has even featured a few articles about these fascinating creatures. They’re not just nature’s candy makers; bees are essential to agriculture. Without them, much of the fruit, nuts, and vegetables that grace our plates would never be.
Don’t miss the hard hitting commentary and great bumper music. Tune in to 710 KNUS or 1460 KZNT Colorado Springs or online at http://www.710knus.com/ from 5 to 8 PM. Your smart choice for Sunday night radio.
