Next up on Backbone Radio 7/8 Show

Tune in Sunday night to KNUS AM 710 from 5 to 8 pm for Backbone Radio. Matt Dunn and Krista Kafer will hit the airwaves with fresh commentary on all things political and cultural.

We’re pleased to have three terrific guests—Craig Green, Senior Fellow in Water Policy at the Independence Institute will discuss his recently published paper Don’t Ask the State to Confiscate Water Rights. Special interests are collecting signatures for a two ballot proposals to confiscate water rights from cities, water districts, farmers, and ranchers. If passed it would put an end to Colorado’s successful 160-year-old system. Water, water everywhere but not a drop to drink?

We will visit with columnist Peter Blake about several recent Colorado issues, including: Our public utilities and the welfare state, the latest on light rail and electric cars, Hickenlooper’s “style” of communication — and also the pressing matter of office space in our state Capitol. Longtime Rocky Mountain News political columnist Peter Blake now writes Thursdays for the Colorado News Agency. Find his weekly column at www.ColoradoNewsAgency.com

Kent Holsinger of Holsinger Law specializes in land, wildlife and water law issues in state and federal court. He’ll talk to us about the promising oil and gas development in the state and efforts to stymie it. Holsinger will also tell us about his recent trip to DC where he testified before Congress on the cost of environmental litigation.

You can expect scintillating talk about the primary results, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes sudden breakup (is Scientology to blame?), the passing of Andy Griffith (is small town America next?), and angry Alec Baldwin’s potential bid for NYC mayor. And we’ll still be hammering away on the Obamacare/Obamatax disaster foisted upon America last week.

Tune in to 710 KNUS or 1460 KZNT Colorado Springs or online at http://www.710knus.com/ from 5 to 8 PM. Your smart choice for Sunday night radio.
